Questions about the bill of lading
What is a bill of lading (BOL)?
A bill of lading is the document that travels with a shipment. It records who ships, who receives, the carrier, and what is being moved (pieces, weight and description), and it is signed by the shipper and the carrier at pickup.
Is this BOL generator free?
Yes. It is free and needs no account. Fill it out, then print it or save it as PDF.
Is my information sent anywhere?
No. What you type stays in your own browser so you can come back to your draft. Nothing is sent to Fast Distribution or anyone else.
Does a BOL replace the Mexican Carta Porte?
No. Freight moving inside Mexico also needs the Carta Porte complement on the CFDI invoice. The bilingual BOL helps both sides of the border read the same shipment details, but it does not replace Mexican tax documents.
